I am so sad and destroyed about the death of Loleatta Holloway. She was, with out a doubt, the most important voice in my life.

Her voice brought me joy when I was alone, her voice made me want to make dance music, her voice connected me with one of my best friends, and her voice was singing in the delivery room at the moment when my daughter was born. When I met her and told her that story, she cried and gave me one of the greatest hugs ever.

How fitting that “Share My Joy” was the record of hers that I got to work on, because joy was all I felt hearing her amazing voice. I will definitely shed many tears for her tonight, and the only thing that will possibly make it better will be listening to her amazing gift that, thankfully, she shared with the world.

So it seems that I play everywhere in the world EXCEPT for my hometown! I have, and I do enjoying playing locally, it just seems that it is a very rare occurrence. Well, citizens and friends in Southern California, I am proud to say that I have a couple of local shows coming up.

Saturday, Jan 15 I will be playing TWO shows. At 2pm I will be appearing at the Pioneer Pro DJ Booth for the NAMM Convention in Anaheim. I will then be heading down to San Diego to play at Spin Nightclub (formerly Montage). Montage was ALWAYS a great show, so I am excited to be back.

Friday, Jan 21 I will be spinning at The Exchange LA in downtown Los Angeles. Remember the movie “The Social Network?” Remember the scene in the big, gorgeous, cool nightclub? Well THAT is The Exchange!! I’m ready to show this town what kind of damage I have been doing worldwide…..

I am heading down to Rio de Janeiro to celebrate New Years Eve and ring in 2011! This will be my fourth year in a row in Brazil, and it is one of the most amazing party experiences I have ever seen. Almost 2 million people completely dressed in white will all go to Copacabana Beach for the countdown at midnight, and one of the largest fireworks displays in the world. Wearing white signifies rebirth and renewal. Truly a beautiful sight!

After the countdown, the people disperse into the night to join the rest of the parties in the city. I, of course, will be heading to The Week International Nightclub to spin and party until dawn in one of the finest venues in the world!

I will be making an appearance on the new E! reality series “Married To Rock.” The series focuses on 4 hot wives of rock stars, one of which is the super hot (and super nice!) Etty Farrell. The E! cameras where at our performance at Lollapalooza this summer, and the results hit the airwaves this Sunday night in the US.

This episode will also feature “Oh Mama” (my Tommy Boy release with DJ Frankie), as well as a new production completed for Etty.
